The inauguration of the ophthalmology unit at the Clinique Juge took place on Thursday 29.09 in the presence of Anne Léandri, Director of the Clinic, Bruno Marie, Chairman of the Almavivasanté Group, Yves Moraine and Gérard Chenoz.
As part of the medical excellence initiative launched by the Almaviva Santé Group, the clinic launched renovation and extension work in August 2015. In total, 301 sq. metres were created and 2,135 sq. metres renovated. The Clinique Juge (pictured) now boasts fully modernised departments and an extension dedicated to the creation of an ophthalmology unit. It has a surgical platform with 18 operating theatres, including 6 new ones dedicated to ophthalmology. These operating theatres are an integral part of the new facilities, which include an ambulatory service known as "fast-tracking" for efficient care that guarantees patient safety while reducing the length of hospitalisation. In October, 11 ophthalmic surgeons, each highly specialised in a particular area of ophthalmology, will join the existing team to strengthen the Ophthalmology Unit. An investment of more than 10 million euros has been mobilised to develop this site.
